Sometimes electronic devices may not function properly if they are not updated to the latest software version. This is because apps are designed to work with newer system updates. If your device is behind, some apps may not work correctly.
Follow these steps to check for the latest FireStick Operating System updates:
- From the FireStick home screen, scroll to the right and select Settings.
- Navigate to My Fire TV > About > Check for Updates, then select it.
- If an update is available, it will begin downloading automatically.
- Your device will reboot and start the update process.
- Repeat these steps until you see the message: "Your Fire TV is up to date".
